Legal Counsel

A US dynamic Asset Finance Income Fund which is listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and, to date, has raised circa £350m. They are now seeking a junior corporate lawyer (NQ-2yrs) to be primarily responsible for negotiating the commercial terms and focusing on asset finance and project finance transactions. The fund focuses in numerous industries, such as Marine, Technology, Industrial, Agriculture and Energy.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior private equity corporate or funds lawyer to make the transition from private practice to a client facing role. This position reports to the General Counsel, where you will become the first member of the new legal team. You will work closely with some of London's most highly regarded investment bankers rewarding you with first hand knowledge and an enjoyable/friendly team of colleagues.

Responsibilities will include:
· Advising on commercial and investment funds documentation
· Providing corporate and pragmatic legal advice related to asset finance and project finance transactions in numerous industries, such as Marine, Technology, Industrial, Agriculture and Energy. Transactions typically range from £2m to £50m.
· Interacting with and providing support to the investment team
· Assisting the General Counsel where you will be required to work autonomously on commercial contracts

The Candidate
- UK qualified lawyer (NQ-2 PQE) with a regarded law firm
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- In-house experience a plus but not advantageous
