Legal Counsel

The Legal and Secretariat Department to which you will join has wide ranging responsibilities including all aspects surrounding the governance of a professional membership body, traditional secretariat duties relating to limited liability subsidiaries, drafting and recording commercial contracts, intellectual property, corporate chartered status, data protection & employment as well as undertaking a range of ad hoc legal issues which may arise.

Ideally, you will have professional experience dealing with disciplinary matters as well as knowledge of IVA and bankruptcy rules. An understanding of financial advice regulation ad the requirements of the FCA would be useful.

In house experience is desirable but not a pre requisite but the drive and ambition to join in house is a must.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior lawyers first in house role or for an existing in house counsel to join an organisation where you will effectively be no.2 in the department whilst working alongside a larger team.
