Locum Social Care & Education Lawyer.

An excellent opportunity for a Locum Social Care & Education Lawyer has arisen in the East Midlands area for a busy and successful Local Authority legal team. The assignment is offered for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

The successful applicant will have a thorough knowledge of Education law and adult social care law, ideally with prior training as a Clerk. Management of your own busy caseload of matters in a Local Government environment is preferred though not essential.

Duties will include but not be limited to;

• Handling a mixed caseload of complex legal matters, including Mental Health, Court of Protection, Ordinary Residence, School Appeals and Exclusions
• Advising on Tribunals and Judicial Reviews
• Advising on Education legal matters
• Clerking school appeals matters

The position offers an attractive rate of approximately £30 - £40 per hour and is a full time position.
