Contracts Lawyer

Our client, a Yorkshire based Local Authority is seeking a lawyer, experienced in commercial contracts to join their team on a locum basis. The position will be for a month initially, however this is highly likely to be extended for 6-12 months.

The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal support, and will have a strong background gained within local government contract and procurement law.

Day to day responsibilities will include advising on, drafting and amending various local government contracts, which may include drafting IT contracts, advising on duties to consult, procurement law and amendments to variations to contracts. The successful candidate may also be required to advise on TUPE and pensions, and thus an understanding in these areas is highly desirable.
