In-House - Chief Privacy Counsel- Director Level- EMEA- 10+ Greater London

Our client is a Nasdaq listed biopharmaceutical company with European operations across the UK. Due to the growth of the business, they are now seeking a Chief Privacy Counsel at Director level for their office based in Greater London. The role of the EMEA Privacy Counsel and Data Protection Officer is to ensure that the business complies with Data Protection laws and regulations, both in Europe (Global Data Protection Regulation) and elsewhere in the EMEA region.

This is a top class legal function with an opportunity for a senior privacy lawyer with at least 10 years of strong data privacy and data protection experience. You will be commercially minded and experienced, with life sciences experience preferred but not essential. You will have knowledge of interfacing with data protection regulators and other relevant legal, regulatory, compliance and business matters in this environment. Your highly technical mind set and ability to analyse data protection and processing issues in the context of complex IT systems, web based technologies and other media will be essential. This is an exciting greenfield leadership role working for a fast paced, supportive business with incredibly interesting content.

We are looking to speak to lawyers who have a minimum of 10 years experience of operating in a fast paced environment and who already have leadership responsibility. You will have extensive knowledge of data protection in the UK and EMEA and preferably in house commercial multi-jurisdictional work

There will be a competitive Director level package on offer.
