Solicitor - Commercial / Corporate

Multi-national company, based in Weybridge, seeks an experienced Commercial Paralegal, Contracts Manager or Solicitor to join their busy legal team on a three-month temporary contract.

Based in our client’s Weybridge office and reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel (EAME), the successful candidate will take on a broad range of commercial and light corporate work, including:

• Reviewing, drafting & assisting with the negotiation of contracts, including service agreements, license agreements, joint venture agreements, memoranda of understanding / letters of intent, and confidentiality agreements;
• Promoting observance of the firm’s compliance policies & procedures, including the performance of due diligence on counterparties and inclusion of anti-corruption language in contracts;
• Reviewing and maintaining standard forms of contract;
• Ensuring that all company secretarial work is performed appropriately in respect of UK companies, and maintaining the statutory books for those companies;
• Providing general legal advice to business units as required.

The successful candidate will be either a Paralegal with extensive experience of Commercial / Corporate law, or a qualified Solicitor with at least 2 PQE with a strong grounding in commercial contracts and agreements.

A clear communicator, you will be able to get up to speed quickly and develop solid relationships with the business.
