This well-regarded local authority is actively looking for a Contracts and Procurement lawyer to join their team in East London immediately.
This is a challenging and gratifying role that will suit a qualified lawyer with a proven track record of success with regards to:
*Complex legal issues,
*Working on projects, and
*A sound knowledge of contract and procurement practices and processes
*Drafting and negotiating complex contract documentation and
*Assisting with the training supervision and development of staff
You will also be responsible for delivering to a high standard to meet the Client's needs:
*Dealing with high-level contract drafting, negotiating and finalisation.
*Advising and applying EU procurement law and competition particularly in relation to more complex project and contract work.
*Having knowledge and application of TUPE is desirable
*Advising councillors and others in writing and in person or similar in a public
