Personal Injury Paralegal (URGENT REQUIREMENT)
SALARY – up to £19,000 DOE

CLIENT:
CALLING ALL PARALEGALS AND EXPERIENCED PI FEE-EARNERS. We have recently been instructed on a very exciting role with a local, boutique law firm that specialises in all types of personal injury (RTA, EL/PL/OL), clinical negligence, company disputes and mediation. The founding partners at this practice have come from excellent backgrounds and have quickly been able to establish this firm within the local market. They have some excellent quality of work on offer and you will be kept busy.
They are now looking for a good level of support in the form of an experienced personal injury paralegal / fee-earner to join their team.
OPPORTUNITY:
You will be an experienced personal injury paralegal / fee-earner from a good high-street or national practice. The role will involve you carrying your own manageable caseload of files, from pre-action through to trial, where necessary. In turn, you will receive close support from the team. This practice promotes a very inclusive and open atmosphere for work.
THERE IS ALSO A VERY REALISTIC OPPORTUNITY THAT THIS ROLE WILL LEAD TO THE OFFER OF A TRAINING CONTRACT once you are in there and you have proven your ability.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The right candidate will have:
- Exposure to and experience of Personal Injury litigation – either as a paralegal / fee-earner;
- You will have experience of handling your own caseload and assisting on caseloads of senior fee-earners – from pre-action through to trial;
- A high degree of self-discipline - motivated, strong time and diary management skills, an eye for detail, excellent research skills and clear verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong legal drafting skills (although training will be provided, where necessary);
- Good GSCEs and / or A-Levels – [ideally a graduate and post-LPC but this is by no means essential];
- Experience of and / or a working knowledge of the MOJ portal and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR);
Our client WILL consider candidates with experience in only one area of personal injury.
This really is the golden ticket of paralegal roles and luckily the location is absolutely within commutable distance of Leeds, York and other parts of West and North Yorkshire. This firm is very close to a train station and has excellent road links very close by. If you are looking to really progress your career within a solid, supportive environment, then this is the role for you.
