Senior Shipping Lawyer

This firm is a boutique specialist law firm who deal with all aspects of Shipping, Aviation, Insurance and Trade. They are ranked highly in the Legal 500 and have grown substantially in recent years with several key hires from Top City practices. They have a punch well above their weight and deal with a quality of work normally expected at the most well-known International practices. They are entrepreneurial, driven, commercially minded and progressive and have a refreshing culture compared to many other law firms in the City.

They have a particularly strong client base in Persia, Middle East and Asia. It is common for their Lawyers to be overseas often dealing with high-quality work. The firm houses Lawyers who are known Internationally for their level of expertise.

The firm has a new, exciting opportunity Shipping Lawyer to join a leading, Legal 500, Shipping firm based in the City of London.

This role will have a varied caseload making for a more interesting role; this includes; Advising on pure shipping, contracts, commodities & related shipping matters, disputes covering a wide variety of dry matters arising from various charter party/bill lading forms. Clients, include; Shipowners, Charterers, P&I clubs, Cargo Owners and Insurers on a variety of international trade and shipping matters, including contentious and non-contentious work.

• You will be a Shipping Lawyer with at least three years PQE (there is no upper limit on the amount of PQE)
• You will have broad experience in the areas listed above
• Your background may be from a City, specialist or well-known Shipping practice
• There is an excellent springboard for progression, including Partnership
• Salary up to £100k, plus excellent benefits and bonus structure
