Our client is a hugely entrepreneurial organisation in the financial services space. It prides itself on its innovation, work life balance and team ethos. A new role has arisen for an experienced employment lawyer to assist them on a permanent part/time basis (18-20 hours per week).
As the only employment specialist in the team, you will be a welcome addition and responsible for all existing employment contracts. You will also be responsible for reviewing and advising on their existing contracts as well as taking overall responsibility for the employment handbook. There are currently a number of different processes and procedures in place and the business needs someone to go in and simplify these and bring them up to date on current issues such as parental leave, adoption leave, sickness, flexible working and so on.
You will work very closely with the HR and the compliance teams and it requires someone who is able to articulate clearly and concisely what the procedures are, why they are there and how they should be implemented. This is very much an advisory role and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively is just as important as technical legal knowledge. Financial services experience would be ideal although it is not essential.
If this does sound of potential interest please apply.
At LAW Absolute we endeavour to respond to all applications within 48 hours. However due to the volume of applications we receive we may not be able to respond to every candidate individually.
If you have not heard from us within a 48 hour timeframe your application has not been successful and your details have not been retained.
LAW Absolute acts as an employment business for temporary recruitment and as an employment agency for fixed term contract and permanent recruitment.
