Our Client are currently looking to recruit an Immigration Lawyer to join one of the best resourced teams of employment specialists of any law firm in the country.  They are flexible on PQE level - NQ-3 years PQE.

The Candidate Required

  1. The successful candidate will ideally have gained NQ-3 years UK corporate immigration law experience in either a large commercial firm, or an immigration boutique firm, building up market knowledge and contacts and with specific experience of dealing with:
  • sponsor licence applications and compliance (including compliance audits);
  • the sponsorship management system;
  • immigration obligations triggered in corporate transactions and exercises;
  • sponsorship and visa applications under all Tiers of the Points Based System (including sponsorship under Tier 4);
  • European free movement rights and related applications;
  • settlement and citizenship applications;
  • preparing and delivering immigration compliance training to clients;
  • visa applications for high net worth individuals and representatives of overseas businesses; and
  • the prevention of illegal working (including responding to enforcement action).
  1. The candidate will deal with a wide range of corporate immigration matters for clients (both public and private sector). The candidate should have experience of working cross border to support global mobility functions. Experience of advising on related employment risks in immigration situations, including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims, and immigration litigation would be valuable but not essential.

  • Exposed to senior City clients, the candidate will be confident dealing directly with senior individuals
  • A team player with the ability to train and supervise more junior lawyers
  • Organised with excellent communication skills and a systematic approach to business development.
