In house lawyer job with International consumer facing business in Swindon

Your new company
This award winning international company is looking for a qualified lawyer to join their Swindon office and provide Legal support on a wide range of issues to the whole of the UK business. The role entails extensive contact and interaction with business representatives at all levels of the organisation.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be drafting and negotiating agreements that are relevant to the businesses, providing day-to-day legal advice throughout the company and providing support in relation to any contentious matters which arise and providing legal advice to customer services. Other duties will include negotiating confidentiality agreements/non-disclosure agreements, advising on RFPs and tenders for business and advising on procurement and supplier agreements. You will be providing day-to-day legal advice and guidance in relation to the business generally and responding to enquiries relating to, amongst other things, data protection & competition law.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified lawyer with 3+ PQE, preferably with prior in house legal experience. Experience with the Consumer Credit Act and related consumer regulations would be desirable, as would a background in financial services. Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential for this position, along with exceptional communication and attention to detail. You must be able to work confidently to deadlines, work accurately when under pressure and handle multiple tasks. You will need to be able to work comfortably both in a team and individually.
