Our Client, one of the world’s leading law firms, is looking for a highly skilled and ambitious Associate to join our market-leading Corporate/M&A team in London.
Requirements
- Taking a leading role in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, with a particular focus on renewable energy and infrastructure sectors
- Working on complex private equity transactions, advising sponsors, management, lenders and other stakeholders
- Leading large and complex due diligence exercises
- Leading disclosure exercises for M&A transactions and co-ordinating the input from other departments
- Transaction & project management and ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Liaising with other departments, particularly energy, projects and banking teams
- Managing and supervising the work of others including junior fee earners and trainees
- Corporate advisory work
- Providing support to partners and senior fee earners across the firm
- Developing existing client relationships and taking a leading role in business development initiatives
- Client management and billing
- Raising the profile of the firm and assisting with pitches and other marketing events
- You will spend a significant amount of time on cross-border work across the firm’s key sectors.
- You will work on high profile and high value transactions as well as running a large volumes of smaller corporate M&A transactions.
About You
You will have significant experience in taking a leading role in complex renewable energy transactions, including offshore wind, onshore wind and ground mounted solar projects and a variety of infrastructure projects:
- Significant experience of complex cross-border transactions
- Some experience of transactions involving interconnectors and energy storage technologies would be beneficial, but not essential
- You will have experience in advising private equity and fund clients on M&A transactions and equity investments
