Corporate Lawyer

Global services organisation based in the Thames Valley require the services of a Corporate Lawyer to join them on a six-month contract as they go through a busy period of M&A activity.

About the Role

The Corporate Lawyer will assist the legal team and the wider business on a variety of matters:

• Drafting a broad range of agreements relating to M&A, share purchases, letters of intent, asset purchases and joint ventures
• Managing relationships with external counsel
• Advising senior management on key issues related to the transactions
• Picking up ad-hoc matters relating to commercial contracts and other legal advisory work

About You

You will be a qualified solicitor with a stellar background in corporate work. Some in-house experience would be preferable but individuals coming from a purely private practice background can still be considered. The client believes that at least six years' PQE would be required to take on the duties associated with the role, but all applications will be judged on merit. One of the key requirements for this role is somebody who is comfortable dealing with complex transactions but at the same time, possesses the humility to get involved in the more routine matters that will arise on a day-to-day basis.

This role requires somebody in place as soon as possible so applicants on more than one week's notice cannot be considered. Ideally you will be immediately available.
