In-house Legal Counsel

My client is a subsidiary of a global organisation. Reporting to the Head of Legal, they are looking for a qualified solicitor who can work both as part of a small in-house legal team and independently to provide legal support to the business.

The position will be responsible for the provision of legal advice on a wide range of issues affecting the UK business. It will involve drafting and negotiating commercial contracts for the company's corporate and SME customer base and providing input and guidance in relation to legal and documentation issues.

You will also need to provide legal support in relation to a variety of ad-hoc legal matters including data protection, competition law, contentious matters and employment issues which may arise as part of the businesses activities
The role entails extensive contact and interaction with business representatives at all levels of the organisation.

From either a private practice or in-house background you will be a qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 3 years PQE and will have demonstrable experience of drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements. Experience of 'contract hire' agreements is desirable.
