SUMMARY
- Job Title: Associate (NQ – 5 PQE)
- Location: Liverpool
- Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

- Previous experience: The role is to work within the healthcare advisory team of this leading Liverpool practice. The work encompasses aspects of mental health law, human rights and even judicial review. The EL/PL skill set has proven particularly transferable and our client is looking for candidates who are, perhaps looking for a new challenge in a team at the cutting edge of this area of practice.
WORK HANDLED BY THE HEALTHCARE TEAM
Now, more than ever, this area of law is attracting considerable attention. This team represents the NHS as well as other public bodies and care providers who are on the front line when providing healthcare services.
The lawyers in the team are often involved in anything from general patient complaints to sensitive cases involving patients with mental health issues, in turn involving the Court of Protection. Furthermore, they are also involved in high profile public inquest work.
IDEAL CANDIDATES – TRANSFERABLE SKILLS
Given the specialised nature of the work, it is quite a challenge finding the right candidates with the right blends of skills. As a result, our client is prepared to look more broadly at the type of candidate they wish to bring into the team.
Candidates with proven EL/PL experience are of particular interest as they have the necessary transferable skills to be of real value to the team. If you have a strong claimant or defendant EL/PL background and wish to gain experience in another area of law, offering a challenging, yet highly rewarding career, you should seriously consider making an application.
