This global technology company is looking for a Senior Employment Counsel to head up its EMEA function across all contentious and non-contentious matters. This is a brand new hire reporting directly in to the Deputy GC based in the US so you will have a lot of responsibility and autonomy in this role.

You will provide day to day advice on a broad range of employment matters including recruiting, employment contracts, consultation and disciplinary processes, performance management, collective agreement interpretation and application, corporate restructuring, redundancies, leaves of absence, unjust dismissal claims, statutory notice, severance and other regulatory obligations. You will be expected to develop and implement best in class employment policies and scalable training solutions. You'll assist with the development and management of global privacy compliance policies and procedures, working with cross-functional partners when needed and providing proactive guidance on global privacy and data protection laws, regulations, industry standards, self-regulatory requirements and the obligations of the Privacy Shield and the GDPR. You will have the opportunity to assist with the development of country work rules, management committees, sexual harassment committees and other country specific items.

You must possess a wide range of employment experience at both a law firm and in-house, preferably with a multi-national company in a European or Global role. You must possess a minimum of 4 years' experience and be fluent in French both oral and written.
