This leading insurer is in the process of building out its Legal Department in Manchester. Working closely alongside its General Counsel, you will become a key resource to the GC and the business alike, covering M&A, Part VII transfers, commercial contracts (both day-to-day and insurance specific such as MGA arrangements, delegated underwriting authorities, insurance distribution agreements). In addition to providing day to day corporate and commercial support to the business, you will also take the lead in major strategic project work.
A lawyer, ideally with 6-10 years' experience, at least some of which gained in the financial services industry, you are likely to have commercial and/or corporate expertise Exposure to insurance sector work would be desirable but not essential.
