Locum Employment Solicitor

Our client is a public sector organization with a well regarded in-house legal team.

Based in Oxfordshire, they are keen to secure a professional and experienced Locum Employment Solicitor for a minimum 3 month period.

The successful candidate will be working as part of this busy legal team, managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Day to day duties will include:

• Managing and defending employment tribunal claims
• Dealing with cases to include unfair dismissal, sex/disability discrimination, whistleblowing/protected Disclosure claims
• Instructing on issues in relation to TUPE transfers, unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination
• Preparing and presenting complex cases to be heard in courts and tribunals, including negotiation and advocacy
• Corresponding with Solicitors, Courts and other professionals

Applications are welcome from specialist Employment Lawyers with either at least 2 years PQE experience of respondent work, or 3+ years PQE of mixed caseload or claimant work. A competitive hourly rate of up to £25 per hour is offered to the successful candidate.
