VP Legal Counsel - Specialist Consulting (3-6PQE)

This major funds consulting business, an adjunct to one of the world's leading fund managers, has grown significantly in the past 12 months alone, seeing its headcount increase over a third.  With a focus on providing project based portfolio valuation support, portfolio sales assistance and other consulting services to corporates and public bodies, they now seek a Legal Counsel to join the Legal Department of the wider fund manager, becoming one of two lawyers to support the consulting business.

Taking on a broad, mixed role covering often highly complex commercial agreements for provision of consulting services as well as regulatory work, data privacy, management of disputes and a range of other subject matter, you will also be heavily involved in the strategic direction and growth of the business.

Reporting to the Head of Legal for the consulting business and working very closely with front-line business stakeholders, you will take on a role with a highly transactional feel and be involved from the very outset in establishing a contractual framework for client relationships.

The successful candidate will have exposure to acting for Management or Specialist Consulting businesses on commercial contracts relating to successful bids/tenders either as clients in private practice or directly as a lawyer in-house with a consultancy.
