The client:
Our client, a reputable merchant bank in London is looking for a junior paralegal to join the legal team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal looking for a role which will provide a high level of autonomy in the financial services sector.
The role:
As a paralegal, you will be providing support to a well-established Legal team on a variety of legal matters.
Key responsibilities for this paralegal are:
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts
- Carrying out research and analyse new legislation and regulations
- Reviewing and draft letters and documents as required
- Leading on small research projects and presenting findings back to the legal team and the business.
- Providing general legal and regulatory advice on issues referred to by other departments of the Bank
The candidate:
- Law degree (LLB) or (GDL) is essential
- 12 months solid experience gained within a financial services organisation as a paralegal
- 12 months experience in a Corporate or Finance department of a top tier law firm as a paralegal
- Completion of the LPC is advantageous not essential
