A Household Claims Handler is needed for Warrington based firm.
Key Accountabilities:
• To provide a household claims handling service by acting as first point of contact for clients • Reporting and recording details of new household buildings and contents claims • Liaising with the insurer, contractors, loss adjusters and other agents as required • Identifying potential subrogated recovery or contribution recovery when dual cover may exist
Duties:
• Accept Telephone and FNOL claims from private clients. • Manage the FNOL process with the client to determine the most appropriate course of action. • Manage the reinstatement process or replacement item process with the approved contractor and approved suppliers where appropriate • Indemnity assessment and possible recovery or contribution factors • Undertake any other duties as necessary • Understand the claims journey as to actions required • Instruct contractors, loss adjusters and service providers to implement a speedy reinstatement or settlement of the clients buildings or contents claim

• Clear confident telephone manner • Show good emotional control and behaviour under pressure • Remains positive and enthusiastic when dealing with difficult people • Takes a proactive approach to solving people and customer problems • Wants to make the customer feel valued • Strong communication & interpersonal skills • Self motivated • Can identify the most appropriate solution to fit the situation • Is confident when influencing others • Attention to detail maintaining accuracy in data collection and management • Knowledge of Proclaim is an advantage
