My client is a diverse, successful business within the aviation industry, looking to hire a pragmatic commercial contracts lawyer to join their small and very busy international legal team.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, and with plenty of client exposure; you'll be responsible for advising on and transacting commercial agreements, flagging and highlighting areas of risk, and providing training to the business and sales team on applicable areas of law.
Your role will be to support the Head of Legal on critical contracts; drafting, advising on, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements of varying size and complexity. You will also be called upon to support on tenders,, due-diligence relating to corporate deals, handle data protection issues, and some business as usual, operational contracts. In addition, you will keep track of the contracts process and provide training to the business, as needed.
This role would suit a fully-qualified solicitor, with prior expertise in transacting non-contentious commercial agreements for the travel or airline industry - specifically chartering contracts. Any experience in-house prior to, or post-qualification would be ideal; and a proactive, commercial approach is essential. You may have trained in-house or in private practice, and should be able to comfortably commute to the client's head office.
Additional languages would be useful, but are not essential for this role.
