Barrister looking to move to solicitor role within a dynamic niche practice?
THE FIRM
This niche practice based close to London’s Cannon Street station deals predominantly with construction, property and robust, hard-edged company and commercial transactions. A results-driven firm, it has come to enjoy a reputation for providing an outstanding level of service, combining smart commercial advice with a bespoke, problem-solving approach, and consistently receives instructions from clients on a national and international level. The firm is now looking to recruit an experienced lawyer with an excellent track record in construction and commercial law.
THE ROLE
You will be a solicitor of probably about 3 years’ PQE (or possibly a barrister looking to transfer) who has solid experience in dealing with construction contracts and alternative dispute resolution matters. Supplementary experience in a related field – employment, environmental or commercial property, for instance – would be a bonus. You should be comfortable advising clients on non-contentious matters and have great advocacy skills with a determined, robust attitude towards litigation. The firm invests heavily in training, running CPD courses and seminars for their own staff members and also making them available to clients. Ideally, therefore, you should be prepared to oversee junior colleagues and assist them in developing their own careers as well as being ambitious to develop your own potential to the full. You should also be comfortable undertaking networking and business development and bring a full contacts book with you – and, ideally, a following of clients. For further details of this rewarding construction lawyer vacancy, please contact Ricardo, quoting reference RD25012.
THE CANDIDATE
You will:-
Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
Be a confident, robust litigator;
Ideally, have additional experience in related field;
Preferably bring a following of clients;
Be ambitious to develop your own role and the profile of the firm;
Be comfortable providing training to junior colleagues.
