The role requires someone who is hands on and both technically and commercially strong with the aptitude and training to pursue a broad array of commercial, IP, IT, corporate and strategic matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervision of one commercial IP lawyer
- Strategic planning and advising the directors of the business
- Leading on drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts including supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, IT agreements, outsourcing agreements, service agreements and terms and conditions.
- Supporting with IP matters (contentious and non-contentious), such as copyright and trademark issues, and shaping and implementing the IP strategy.
- Advising on HR, finance, and marketing legal matters.
- Supporting the CEO on corporate projects.
- Advising on compliance matters including data protection and related to pricing, and e-commerce.
- Advising on improvements for internal processes.
- Managing and working with external counsel.
