Our Client, well-established in the UK as a leading international law firm and regularly involved in some of the country's most high-profile legal matters, are currently looking to recruit a mid-level Associate (approximately 3 – 5 years pqe) to work in our IT/Commercial department.
You will be working as part of the IT/Com team, and will have the following focus:
- work on a wide range of technology and commercial contracting and advisory issues
- have a particular focus on transactional technology and outsourcing work (and should have good transactional experience working on either the customer or supplier side);
You will
- also assist with business development activities and should be a "self-starter".
- need to have strong interpersonal skills and
- have a strong academic background
Key Skills and Skills Required
- Graduate - degree educated or comparable (minimum 2:1)
- Qualified Solicitor with experience of working on contracting and advisory issues in IT, outsourcing and data protection with, ideally, experience in contentious / pre-contentious matters
- Excellent technical abilities and development potential
- Proactive and flexible, with an emphasis on reliability, responsiveness and delivery
- First class communicator - strong both verbally and orally - and able to develop relationships with key internal stakeholders and clients with ease.
- Strong team player with a "client first" mentality.
- A strong interest in business development and willingness to explore client secondment opportunities as part of the same.
- Respects and enjoys the diversity of cultural, social and academic backgrounds found in the Firm
