Assistant Commercial Solicitor

Solicitor with commercial experience required to join an education establishment on a permanent basis.

Your new company
This is a world leading education establishment that has been in operation for well over a 100 years. They have close to 30.000 students with over 3000 members of staff and have a turnover in the region of £150 million. The working environment is of an excellent standard due to recent multi million pound developments taking place over the last few years and is very accessible via train and car. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a solicitor with commercial experience to join their Legal Services Team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
You will be working in a fast paced environment and exposed to a varied case load. You'll play a vital role as part of a strong and progressive team focusing on excellence in client service and support. You will be responsible for a wide range of agreements relating to projects with UK, EU and International partners both from industry, commerce and the higher education sector. It is also expected you will contribute to the positive development of the establishment including protection of assets such as it's intellectual property and it's reputation.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience will lead to your success. You'll be a qualified solicitor or legal executive who has understanding of intellectual property and contractual legal issues affecting education establishments, which has been ideally gained in the Higher Education sector. You will also have the ability to build strong working relationships with academics and business development partners.
