Construction Lawyer sought for new role with international commercial law firm in Manchester. Salary upwards of £42k.
This private practice have an international spread of offices, and have won many awards across their departments. They are a full service firm providing claims, transactional, commercial, risk and advisory legal services. Their Construction team is part of the Infrastructure, Construction and Transport sector group, which in turn sits in the wider Litigation and Regulatory practice group. They enjoy an enviable reputation in the market as an employer of choice and are renowned as being a good firm to work for.
Due to significant growth there is a need to appoint contentious Construction Solicitors to the team in Manchester. You will be joining a well-established team which supports their clients across the whole construction and engineering industry, both in the UK and abroad. The roles will focus on involvement in high value and complex construction/engineering disputes. The workload will be primarily domestic, but there are also opportunities for involvement in international work. The caseload will predominately relate to high value infrastructure projects.
You will ideally be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1-2PQE in contentious Construction Law, with your training and experience gained at a city, national or recognised regional practice. Strong academic attainment and a real passion for Construction Law are essential. They require someone who is experienced in the main forms of construction contracts (familiarity with NEC3, FIDIC and EPC contracts is preferable), professional appointments, warranties and bespoke development agreements.
You will have excellent soft skills such as communication, client relations, team-working and project management. The firm would also welcome applications from NQ Solicitors due to qualify in Sept 2016, providing you have completed at least one seat in contentious Construction.
