Solicitor

A central London University, one of the oldest and largest universities in the UK, is looking for a Solicitor to assist the Legal Services Team. This is so they can offer legal advice to the University and deal with matters relating to property, trusts and benefactions, supply of goods, data protection and freedom of information.

The work/life balance offered by working within an academic institution is unparelled, with 30 days annual leave per year + bank holidays + shut downs at Christmas and Easter. In addition to that the normal full time hours are 35hrs per week. This is an ideal opportunity someone who wants to improve their working conditions whilst remaining within a challenging Solicitor role.

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Solicitor, this position will play an integral role in supporting and assisting the Director of Legal Services and the Senior Solicitor in the provision of legal and related services. This is a key stakeholder advisory position where the incumbent will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of legal agreements and other documentation, undertaking legal research, and advising on a variety of legal and compliance issues.

The Person
Degree qualified, the successful candidate will hold a qualification as a Solicitor or Barrister with eligibility to practice in England, coupled with recent experience working in a legal role,
