Litigation Associate/Analyst

Our client is offering exceptional long-term prospects for an ambitious Solicitor with litigation experience. Based with a growing in-house player in the finance market in Central London, this is a varied and challenging role for a practicing Solicitor with at least three years PQE in commercial litigation and arbitration. The role is quite unique in that there is genuine scope for the right candidate to move through the business and develop a successful career. This will ideally suit someone that has developed experience in litigation but is looking to apply this in a business and investment environment, rather than everyday fee earning.

Joining an accomplished and ambitious team, you will work with the underwriting team in respect of the underwriting of litigation finance investments. This will include screening, tracking and underwriting potential litigation investments and monitoring developments in existing investments for SME clients. The company's culture is similar to that of a small investment fund, providing opportunities for creative and innovative ways of working and a far less rigid structure than a law firm.

The ideal candidate must have outstanding research, writing and case management skills and will have worked on all aspects of a case in the litigation cycle. This will include case analysis, case management, fact and expect discovery, settlement negotiations and trial. Experience of analysing financial statements and business transactions is desirable. The candidate must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a small internal team and with clients and counsel.
