Housing Litigation Solicitor
Area of Law: Housing Litigation and ASB
Hours: 3 days a week (21 hours)
Location: Solihull
My client, a busy local authority, is seeking an experienced Housing Solicitor to join their team on a part time basis. The role will last for an initial 3 month period, although it is possible this may be extended further. As a housing solicitor within this team, you will be tasked with handling all housing and ASB queries on behalf of the authority, and progressing matters as appropriate. The role will involve all elements of housing litigation and ASB law, including possession orders, non-school attendance, injunctions and closure orders from the police, alongside other routine housing litigation matters. This role will involve advocacy on cases and thus requires an experienced, robust and professional solicitor (or equivalent) who is adept at tackling all aspects of cases.
You will join a supportive, collaborative team of 5 people and will be the sole housing litigation and ASB lawyer on the team. Courts are all locally based and as such a car is not essential for this role. The successful candidate will have experience of working within a public sector organisation in a similar role.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Kate Jasper in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
