Our client's highly regarded, financial regulation practice, seeks an experienced, non-contentious financial services lawyer, with a minimum of 5PQE, to join the team at a senior level, and to assist the partners in further developing the profile of the practice. The ideal person will have in depth knowledge of financial regulation, including FSMA and the FCA Handbook, and a good understanding of regulatory developments in Europe in the field of financial regulation as well as MIFID II. Other experience of interest would include CRD IV, bank recovery and resolution, benchmark regulation, banking structural reforms, and market abuse / AML matters. The partners are looking for someone with a genuine passion for the practice area, and for building strong client relationships, which will form a very important part of this role. The role will also involve nurturing and supervising more junior members of the team. There is likely to be the opportunity to undertake client secondments to build your skills and expertise further.
