This silver circle law firm has a paralegal vacancy within its Derivatives and Trading Group, and is looking for a candidate to assist in a specific project management role. This vacancy has arisen because the current paralegal has decided to relocate.

Your new role
In your new job you will co-ordinate the launch of new hedge funds for one of the Group's major clients, as well as manage on-going negotiations and legal issues that might arise following each launch. You will also implement regulatory driven changes and on-going matters. Further, you will assist with negotiations of some trade and financing documents, and search and review points of law and market practice. You will receive good exposure within this role, being in daily contact with the client, hedge fund managers and brokers across leading global financial centres. You will work closely with one of the Group's partners and a team of solicitors, who will guide and support you in your development.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need some experience working in a Magic/Silver Circle/ US law firm, or from within a financial institution. Experience in the broker-dealer or hedge-fund community is beneficial. This role will require you to work with investment banks, hedge funds and other law firms across multiple jurisdictions, and so ability to work across teams is essential. You will also need good organisational skills, organising negotiation and document execution to demanding timetables. This firm is very strict on academics, and so applications will not be reviewed if you have not received a minimum 2.1 in your LLB, alongside predominantly A*s & As at A Level. The LPC/BPTC is desirable.
