Regulatory and Compliance Counsel

One of the Midlands largest companies is seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Counsel to join and provide regulatory and and compliance legal support to the business across all of the markets in which they operate. This will include developing the strategy, policies and overseeing the implementation of compliance programmes, advising business in relation to regulatory and commercial risk and delivering training.

This is a very hands on role which will see you operating at a senior level across the business. You will have day to day responsibility for providing advice and guidance on regulatory and compliance issues ensuring that the Company's legal risks and liabilities in relation to areas such as competition, data protection, anti-bribery and corruption and general regulation are recognised and evaluated. This opportunity touches on all aspects of the businesses commercial activities ensuring that large commercial projects and trading arrangements in which the Company is engaged are effectively managed. In addition, you will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of regulatory and compliance policies, monitoring compliance with such policies and providing training to internal business colleagues.

We are keen to hear from applicants with a strong track record and expertise in commercial, regulatory, competition, data protection or litigation matters from a top private practice or in-house background. This will be coupled with a commercial approach and the ability to communicate across all levels of the business.

In terms of location, this position is commutable from the Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield and Leicester areas.
