Commercial Disputes Partner- Edinburgh

It's an exciting time for us here at Bond Dickinson, with the planned growth of our Scottish team and our opening of a new office in central Edinburgh.  There is an opportunity to join a collegiate team of fee earners across our network of UK offices at this early stage of our new Edinburgh offering.

Our client base in Scotland is broad, covering a number of our key sectors  including real estate, energy, retail financial institutions. Our disputes practice is incredibly diverse and we support clients both from a perspective of dispute avoidance through to partnering them at the highest level when things go wrong. Our clients are FTSE250 listed and the work we support them with is high profile, significant and complex. We currently service disputes work in Scotland through our Aberdeen office and out network of national offices, but a number of national clients have indicated that they could instruct us on further Scottish work with an Edinburgh presence in dispute resolution. It is in specific response to that client feedback that we are investing further in Scotland.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Partner to focus on helping us develop our disputes offering in Scotland.  The successful candidate will have a  credible track record in disputes work in Scotland, and we would be interested in hearing from those with broad based expertise, and those that feel they could deliver work streams in line with our sector strategy. 

This is a challenging (but hopefully rewarding!) role – it’s a new offering where you will be expected to market internally to colleagues, and to get out and develop a profile in the marketplace to help us convert opportunities with existing clients, as well as new ones.  You will be ably supported by our network of regional offices, most closely Aberdeen and Newcastle, and our dedicated Sector support and Business Development teams.
