Solicitor - Private Client

Our client law firm are expanding their private client team further and area seeking an experienced private client solicitor with a sold private client knowledge.

In this role you will :

• Advise and draft complex Wills including using Trusts in Wills;
• Advise on all aspects of trusts including creation, establishment, administration and winding up including tax compliance and trust accounting;
• Draft Trust documentation;
• Deal with Pre and post death Tax Planning and liability to capital taxes, general estate planning and personal finance issues;
• Take LPA instructions and advise on mental capacity issues;
• Deal with private client isues affecting the rural community or be interested in developing expertise in this area and you will have a good knowledge of business property relief and agricultural property relief;
• Train and manage other members of the department and developing junior employees.

You will have:

• Preferably NQ to 5 years PQE
• Ability to process a large and complex private client caseload;
• Ability to handle complex tax and trust issues;
• STEP qualification or working towards it;
• High level of attention to detail;
• Able to manage and develop staff
• Ability and willingness to provide excellent client service;
• Ability to develop the department and firm;
• Confidence in liaising with clients, financial institutions, asset holders, HM Revenue and Customs and other professionals;
• Strong IT skills

This is an exciting role where you will cover a large geographic area and there is scope for you to develop your own practice. The firm will provide support for you from the existing team.
