Trainee Immigration Solicitor

They are looking for an ambitious and well-motivated individual who has a real commitment to the law and who can demonstrate a positive approach to their work and has passion to qualify into immigration and employment law.

Many of their lawyers come from a non-legal background, so they welcome applications from all graduates and undergraduates, not just those who have studied law.

They look carefully at each applicant's academic background. This is why they have a minimum academic requirement that all trainees are expected to meet or exceed:

- 300+ UCAS points from your best three A-Levels or equivalent (excluding General Studies)

- A strong 2:1 degree (any degree subject)

- A Commendation (or above) at Law School (GDL and/or LPC). Those who are part way through, or about to commence, the LPC would also be considered

- Foreign qualified lawyers may also be considered

Due to the international clients the immigration department receive they require applicants with foreign language skills. Applicants therefore must have the ability to speak a relevant foreign language to business-level standard; Bengali, Arabic, French or any Eastern European language.
