One of the top Offshore law firms (equivalent of the Magic Circle) is looking for one or more Banking and Finance Associates for their highly-regarded Cayman Islands office. You will ideally be a lawyer, qualified in England & Wales, Australia, New Zealand and Canada who have a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a well-regarded banking and finance team. Whilst they expect that you will be between 3-5 PQE, this does not preclude those with more experience from applying.
Key skills
Experience of a range of banking and finance work is desirable - those who have a mix of any of the following will be of interest: Leveraged Finance, Asset Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Securitisations, Structured Finance, Real Estate Finance, Project Finance and Restructuring.
The preference is for someone who has two or more areas of exposure rather than, say, an Asset Finance specialist.
About you
You will have the opportunity to work for one of the most highly-regarded Offshore firms on a range of high-profile, innovative and interesting transactions with a friendly an knowledgeable group of like-minded lawyers. They will be rewarded with market-leading salaries (with 0% income tax), a good work/life balance and good opportunities for career-progression in an unparalleled environment in the beautiful Cayman Islands.
For a confidential discussion, get in touch with Ken Okumura who is the Head of Robert Walters' Offshore division and who has previously worked as a solicitor in the Caribbean prior to moving into recruitment.
Please note that this opportunity is only open to lawyers who have qualified in England & Wales, Australia, New Zealand and Canada and who have been admitted for at least 3 years. This is a pre-requisite for admission in Cayman.
