Data Protection Lawyer 3+ PQE Leading UK Law Firm

This firm is a leading UK law firm with a well-established and thriving data protection practice. Due to growth, the Partners are now looking for a technically astute data protection lawyer to come and join their team. This role could be based in either London or the firm's other offices nationally.

The right candidate will join a successful and growing team and work on a myriad of data protection and privacy matters. The workload includes advising on all data protection issues relating to e.g. IT, outsourcing, e-commerce transactions, cross-border data transfers, cloud computing, new technologies, FOIA compliance issues, data subject access requests and drafting and negotiating data processing agreements and much more. Key sectors include financial institutions, insurance, banks, retail, public sector and governance.

Candidates should be qualified as a lawyer and ideally have at least three years of experience in data protection matters in the UK, either in a good law firm practice or in-house. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be technically astute, hands-on and enjoy giving clear and concise commercial advice.
