Are you interested in working for a world-renowned banking & financial services organisation as an integral member of a small legal team? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen in the Amsterdam office of this prestigious client for a Junior Legal Counsel to join on a temporary basis, initially for a period of 6 months.
You will provide legal advice and support to the Amsterdam office on a wide variety of matters, primarily in relation to custody and depositary services. With a focus on a Netherlands law perspective, you will handle the negotiation of client agreements, implement European legislation in service models and existing agreements and provide corporate governance and dispute resolution assistance.
Whilst you will need to be fluent in English & Dutch, the majority of communication is in the English language.
The successful candidate will have at least 6 months experience in a law firm and/or legal department of a financial institution. You will also need to meet the following qualifications;
*A Master's degree in Civil Law or Financial Law of the Netherlands.
*Fluency in Dutch & English. Skills in French or German would be a bonus.
*An understanding of the financial services & banking industry, regulation and banking regulatory frameworks.
