Commercial and Financial sector Litigation -NQ+

Our client is a global/international law firm with offices across the UK, including major offices in Cardiff. They have just announced two additional new vacancies within their FSDI teams and these are exciting NQ level vacancies for two candidates looking to develop their career as a Litigation lawyer dealing with challenging, varied, high profile and interesting work and which in the long-term will undoubtedly set you up in your career.

The FSDI teams are approximately 50 lawyers strong in the Cardiff office and these two positions are to work closely with one particular Partner who leads a friendly close-knit team of about 10 lawyers, working across a range of Commercial Litigation and Financial sector Litigation, and to emphasise these are not volume roles dealing with volume litigation, far from it. The work is wide-ranging and can include anything from mis-selling of PPI to retail and commercial disputes, regulatory and disciplinary matters and investigations. As you would expect the clients are international and the team works with the leading financial institutions globally. Any financial disputes would come in to the team so the work is diverse and can be both Claimant and Defendant in nature for example. No two days are ever the same, but a lot of what you will be doing will be high profile and will involve travel whether to meetings in London or perhaps overseas on occasions.

The team is looking for ambitious, bright NQ level lawyers, either already based in Cardiff or with links and looking to relocate to the city. They can be genuinely open-minded about the experience you will have had to date, so you may have already enjoyed a Commercial Litigation seat or perhaps a seat in a Professional Negligence team, or you could even be a candidate who has had a non-contentious Banking and Finance seat, so the sector interests you, but you have come to realise you want to work in a contentious role moving forwards in your career.
