Patent Search Manager

Our client is a leading tier one UK Patent & Trade Mark practice. Located in central London, the firm enjoys a global reputation and are now seeking a Patent Search manager.

The successful candidate will be expected to bring a commercial approach to the role and actively seek opportunities to expand the contribution made by the Search function to the firm’s continuing success.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities…

•  Intellectually versatile and curious with an interest in science and technology that extends beyond just one technical discipline
• Strong interpersonal qualities including the ability to interact effectively with senior fee earners on a regular basis
• Commercial awareness
• Good communicator with the ability to present search results in a clear and digestible form to colleagues and clients
• Strong work ethic and drive, able to work alone with minimal supervision when required
• Adaptable team player
• High standards of professionalism and integrity

The Patent Search Manager must have a degree or PhD in a technical subject and have some experience of handling patent searches. 

Direct experience of searching is desirable but not a prerequisite.
