THE COMPANY
Our client, a well-established securities business is seeking a 2-6 PQE Sales and Trading Lawyer to join their team.
THE ROLE
This In House Counsel / Lawyer role will be reporting directly to the Head of Legal and you will be responsible for:
- Transaction Management and advisory on all phases of legal transaction processes
- Providing general legal advice on trading activity across a variety of products/asset classes (derivatives, securities etc.) including trade execution, clearing , custody and settlements matters
- Draft, review and negotiate transactional legal documentation including trading agreements, clearing execution and brokerage arrangements, etc. between the securities business and its counterparties.
- Advising on current and upcoming regulations to ensure the organisation is fully compliant
THE CANDIDATE:
- The ideal candidate will be c.2 years PQE+* Derivatives Lawyer with experience from private practice or working in-house.
- Lawyer with technical knowledge of securities and derivatives products is essential
- Experience and demonstrable understanding of the financial regulation is desirable
