We are seeking to hire Legal Counsels who will be key members of the growing international commercial legal team which supports the firm on the Group level with expansion around the world. This attorney will be based in China, Hong Kong or Singapore with frequent travel.
Primary Responsibilities
* Advise on legal aspects of expansion of existing and new product offerings including researching local regulatory and other legal requirements, outside counsel management, issue spotting, structuring, and documentation of website rules and procedures, internal procedures, user agreements and related regulatory and corporate disclosures.
* Draft and review contracts and commercial agreements.
* Provide periodic and on-going advice and training to business teams on the legal aspects of the implementation of commercial agreements, website operations, business models and strategies, business operations, marketing activities, and product offerings
Key Requirements
* PRC or foreign qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of post-qualification corporate law experience in an international law firm and/or leading in-house legal department.
* Commercially minded, interested in technology and innovation
* Detail-oriented and highly-motivated.
* Ability to work independently, and under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Bilingual, able to draft legal documents in both English and Mandarin.
* Experience relating to technology preferred but not required.
