Our client, a major internationally focused law firm, seeks a Litigation Paralegal Secretary on a permanent basis.

In a dual Paralegal/Secretary role, you will be primarily focused on a mix of litigation and construction. On the litigation side, this will involve assisting fee earners on a number of high profile cases, document review, managing data rooms and other ad hoc projects. On the construction side, you will work with fee earners on a mix of contentious and non-contentious and engineering matters in the UK and abroad; drafting transactional documents such as collateral warranties and construction contracts. There will also be large administrative elements to the role in a secretarial capacity including drafting replies to letters, preparing documents in advance of meetings and scheduling appointments. Overall, the role will offer extremely high levels of responsibility and direct partner and client contact with genuine opportunities to develop into a Training Contract.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum 2:1 at degree level and excellent A Levels (minimum ABB). In addition, it would be preferable to have already completed the GDL or LPC or be working towards a CILEX qualification. You should have at least 6 months experience within a leading litigation or construction team in private practice and be able to demonstrate a track record of excellent direct client contact. You should have excellent IT skills, exceptional case management and a positive and open-minded work ethic with a view to constantly taking on new tasks and making a genuine impression on the team.
