Senior Commercial Property Lawyer

Senior Commercial Property Lawyer required for a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester for an initial period of 3 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join a highly supportive and friendly team on a locum basis.

The role will primarily involve drafting, advising and negotiating on a wide range of property and commercial property matters. This includes high value property acquisitions, disposals and regeneration schemes.

You will work closely with the Council's Asset Management Team and other Services. In addition you will advise on landlord and tenant issues and draft and negotiate business and other leases, easements and licences.

The successful applicant will have substantial experience in property law and ideally supporting major regeneration schemes and must have sound knowledge of property law, possess commercial awareness, be flexible, and have a "can do" approach.

Experience of dealing with complex issues and managing a team will be an advantage. In addition, you will have the ability to build excellent working relationships to get the best results.

The position is full-time and they are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible. It is 3 months initially although there is the possibility of an extension thereafter.

The council is easily accessible from throughout the North-West by either car or public transport.
