I am recruiting for a European-based independent clearing house serving major international exchanges, as well as a range of OTC markets. My client is looking for a Financial Regulations lawyer to join its team in London. In this role, you will be the London representative for the OTC legal team and regularly liaise with offices globally.
Your day to day work will include:
- Keeping abreast with regulations which may impact clearing houses and clearing members in order to update the legal team, help formulate the company’s response to any regulatory consultations and review the Rulebook and other documentation in light of these developments.
- Reviewing legal opinions and regulations in Europe and other jurisdictions.
- Providing ad hoc general regulatory advice to the business on topics such as EMIR, MiFID II/MiFIR, CRD IV, settlement finality and recovery and resolution.
Previous knowledge of clearing is not necessary. This role requires a lawyer with 2-3 years PQE who is able to work in a highly-regulated, yet also very commercially-driven, environment. Working hours are very good and the team atmosphere is friendly and collegiate.
