Shipping Lawyer (In-House) (P&I Club) (5-8 PQE)

An internationally renowned P&I club are looking to hire a solicitor with a strong shipping background with experience within private practice or working in-house at a P&I club. They are looking to hire a solicitor between the 5-8 PQE level to become an integral part of this P&I club based in London.

The successful applicant will handle FD&D and P&I files and experience a great deal of autonomy in this new and exciting role. This vacancy represents the opportune time to join a small professional team. Due to the size of the team, you will be heavily involved in a wide spectrum of shipping matters and offer advice on a variety of protection and indemnity insurance matters. This will include pursuing or defending claims that may arise in respect of the following but not limited to; bills of Lading, charterparties, marine insurance contracts and contracts of affreightment.

The successful applicant will have strong academics and would have gained a minimum of 5 years' experience within a P&I club or experience obtained within an international or specialist shipping firm.
