THE ROLE

The successful candidate will assist in devising and maintaining the firm's policies and procedures, and to develop its standard forms, on all core compliance issues including the regulatory aspects of matters such as: anti-money laundering, business acceptance, conflicts, confidentiality, insider lists, dealing rules, information barriers, antibribery and corruption. They will also assist, and in due course lead, all anti-money laundering training within the firm. The role will also include the following:

* helping partners and other fee earners to review clients' terms and conditions of business and to draft engagement letters
* dealing with everyday queries on core compliance topics
* devising and delivering training internally (at all levels) on all core compliance issues
* keeping developments in the compliance field under review and proactively suggesting how the firm's compliance-related policies and procedures might be improved, and leading projects designed to bring such improvements about.

ABOUT YOU

You will need to be a qualified lawyer with experience of working in a similar compliance role, ideally within a City or international law firm. An excellent academic background is required, as is a strong understanding and knowledge of anti-money laundering laws and policies specifically within a legal environment.
