I am currently representing a Hong Kong based PE fund on the search for an M&A lawyer to join them in a business and investment capacity. The young firm was founded by industry veterans from prestigious organizations and have attracted top talent to join their close-knitted environment. With a strong track record in the past 8 years, they have developed full deal sourcing capability and manages both RMB and USD funds.

The firm has a venture capital investment approach targeting mid-market companies, they aim to create value by helping their investee grow. They are particularly active in the strong growth sectors of internet, media and consumers in China and Asia. With an interesting deal in the horizon, they are currently looking for a lawyer who wants to move into a business capacity. The role will require legal expertise as you will be researching on the viability and legality of the investee’s business, lead efforts to secure licenses and agreements with third parties and secure further capital for the investee. You will also add value by evaluating investment ideas and ensuring they can be executed within the Law.

Requirements:

• 3 – 6 years post qualification experience
• PE and M&A experience required
• Mandarin is essential
• Good understanding of PRC law
• Experience in internet, media or technology sector advantageous
